COVID19 can’t keep a good LEGO fan down!
After several postponements and cancelations, Canberra’s major LEGO fan event is going ahead on the 9th and 10th April 2022. Brick Expo is a celebration of all things LEGO, featuring displays created by dedicated builders around Canberra and across Australia. The event originally scheduled for August 2021 had to be shelved as the pandemic sent Canberra and most of Australia into a lock down.
Since 2011, Brick Expo has been proud to support pediatric patients in Canberra, raising more than $500,000 to fund medical equipment, clinical space makeovers and therapy toys that support care and treatment for children through Canberra Hospital Foundation Equipment purchased from Brick Expo donations in the past have included: Cosycott for newborn babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), child-friendly artwork, signs and play equipment, a Portable Paediatric Ultrasound, ECG Machine, Bladder Scanner, Foetal Heart Monitors, and a Paediatric Bronchoscopy Tray with specialised instruments. Donations to Canberra Hospital Foundation will help the more than 55,000 babies, children and teens who receive treatment or are hospitalised through public health in Canberra each year
But our exhibitors have continued to build and develop their displays and Brick Expo 2022 will go ahead in just a month’s time.
Tickets purchased for the 2021 show will remain valid for the same day and timed session with only the dates changing. While many sessions are already close to sold out, there are some tickets still available.
